Moving at Lake Tahoe: Tips for Incline Village and Stateline
Mountain moves have their own rules. Steep driveways, stairs, and snow all change the plan.
01Roads and seasons
Mount Rose Highway and Kingsbury Grade are the main routes between the lake and the valley. Both can see winter closures and chain controls, so flexible dates help.
02Stairs, decks, and steep drives
Tahoe homes often mean carrying everything up or down stairs. Uniform totes are easier to carry and stack than mixed boxes, and they will not crush halfway down a staircase.
03Second homes and partial moves
